The Sage Stones – special relics that are imbued with fragments of Sekhmet's power. Ayane, Eio's sister and goddess of Quar Dimens, is responsible for the placement and specific powers of the Stones, while Sekhmet's life force gives them the power reserves that they have.
First Use – when Sekhmet appeared on Mona for the first time, he made a name for himself by sinking Owanii into the ocean south of Zarack. Strangely, he vanished from Mona for several years before reappearing, this time wreaking general havoc on the Zarackian countryside. Several scars from his encounters with the original Sages still remain in the otherwise pristine countryside. Several people volunteered to converge on Sekhmet together as a team. These people were named the Sages for their inane ability to know how to stop Sekhmet. Each was gifted in some way that the others weren't, and together they were able to imprison Sekhmet in a sort of limbo that would keep him in solitude as long as no one came in contact with the Sage Stones with the intent to resurrect him.
Second Use – unfortunately one of the Sages, Arona, had been under Sekhmet's influence. Utilizing his own Sage Stone, Arona enabled Sekhmet to reappear on Mona. While weakened, Sekhmet utilized his dark powers to control Arona and Ezekiel, both Sages that had helped imprison him. As it came to pass, a young girl named Leya appeared on the scene and took control of the Sage Stones, utilizing her own special powers to generate a Stone that could unify the powers of all the previous ones in another attempt to imprison Sekhmet. The tactic was successful, and with the help of the old Sages, Leya became the Princess Sage, the one to lock Sekhmet away for the second time.
Third Use – Sekhmet's second banishment was misguided. Instead of being sent to some limbo from which he could not escape himself, Leya had thrown Sekhmet straight into the dimension of Time itself. It didn't take Sekhmet long to figure out how to utilize the strands of Time that created such a dimension, and eventually he began to tinker with reality itself. A huge imbalance began happening and an entity known as Marion helped Marcus, one of the original Sages, travel to Earth, where the wall between our dimension and Time's was weakest. Marcus met with several young men and women who demonstrated amazing courage and complementary skills. It came to pass that they were indeed new Sages. Sekhmet, seeing the danger of new Sages on Earth, scattered them throughout Time. Utilizing the new, strange Sage Stones, the new Sages collected themselves together once more and, led by Marcus, staged an attack on Sekhmet. Marcus' life was taken in the attempt to destroy Sekhmet, which allowed Ezekiel to strike the final blow. A strange, angelic woman appeared on the scene and resurrected Marcus, a gift from the heavens. Sekhmet was dead, and no one else had fallen.
Fourth Use – with Sekhmet gone, Mona had returned to a normal state of emergency, the War beginning to escalate. Several citizens were asked to do military favors to help further the War efforts. Included in this request was a young girl named Eio Itchuskai, who was sent into the Great Forest of Northern Zarack to mediate an alliance with the hidden civilization of Shantellona. Through a strange sequence of events, Eio encountered several unique people and experiences, including being told that she had the power to control a Sage Stone. People continued to gather on her journey as she was thrown this way and that, but eventually the war began to take a second turn. Shantellona staged an attack on the Zarackian capital of Derrande, but with Eio and the other new Sages' help, a treaty was signed. Eio's strange dreams led her to the point of discovering her lineage as a goddess of the ill-fated Quar Dimens, headed by two evil entities known only as the Angels of Quar. One of these Angels had been the one to resurrect Marcus. Her sister Ayane helped to pull the strings to allow Eio and her group to find the Door to Quar, and utilizing the Sage Stones of every generation of Sages, the Door opened and the group stepped through. Facing off against the rulers of the dimension, Eio and her friend Hiroshi were able to slay the Angels, bringing stability to the dimension. The Door was eventually closed, but Eio would have it opened once more to continue her liaison work with the real world of Mona.
