QUAR DIMENS AND THE QUARIAN CAUSE
Originally created by two young people from a distant world, Quar Dimens was first a small pocket dimension used as a secret base to escape the real world. After a short period of time, the original inhabitants realized that they no longer aged within Quar and could actually influence their home world by influencing aspects of the Dimens. After realizing this, they spitefully destroyed their world with a terrible virus that wiped the planet clean of all life, choosing instead to reside in Quar Dimens indefinitely. As they continued to dwell there, their powers began to expand, and with their abilities, also did the Dimens expand, to the point of encompassing nearly three galaxies. Any planet the two of them so choose to affect within Quar Dimens felt the repercussions in the real world. World after world, they had their fun, involving themselves in the lives of several worlds' populations, calling themselves deities or "Angels of Quar." Forgotten were their original names, only now known as Holy and Dark Angels for how they tinkered with the worlds.
Dark Angel was the male individual who directly interfered with worlds, such as starting wars, creating natural disasters, and the like. He was known on several worlds as the Creator of Chaos. It was said once that his hand would cause the downfall of nations, a true statement in all cases presented.
Holy Angel, however, affected worlds in more indirect ways, such as furthering a society's sciences to the point that they develop weapons of mass destruction, and blow themselves away in brutal wars over power. Developed civilizations were created merely to be destroyed, and other societies were improved only to be brought down by themselves. Holy Angel reveled in the chaotic nature of society on the majority of worlds, and found joy in manipulating these worlds to the point of destruction.
As enjoyable as their lives were, Holy and Dark Angel were unfulfilled, as they had never experienced love or family, something that their mortal pasts urged them even throughout immortality. In this mindset they created Ayane, their firstborn a girl, by mixing their DNA and manipulating the offspring to be adult upon birth. Ayane was treated as a queen until the Angels decided to birth a second child. Thus, Morro was born, their son. Unlike Ayane, Morro was not flattered by the Angels' attempts to manipulate worlds in his favor. Ayane had begun to affect the worlds like her parents as well, an act of which Morro disapproved. Unfortunately both children combined were not enough to undo the devastation that their parents had done. Morro was powerless to stop his destructive parents from influencing the worlds in a negative light. Disappointed by his parents' tendencies, Morro fled Quar Dimens, erasing his own memories of it and his own powers, resorting to the life of a mortal on some unknown world outside the jurisdiction of Quar Dimens. Enraged by this, the Angels violently erupted. Their anger outright destroyed several worlds, but it also severely drained the Angels' powers. No longer were they true deities of immortality, but mere shadows of their former "glorious" selves.
In an attempt to regain their powers, the Angels gave birth to a third child, Eio, who had the powers of one of their children from before their rampage. During their tantrum, Ayane had suffered as well as the worlds, limiting her own powers. Eio, however, was born with the powers of a full Quarian, and had the ability to affect the worlds just as strongly as her parents. Eio too grew to dislike how her parents acted towards the worlds, and unlike Morro could undo their influences. Angered by this, the Angels banished Eio to Mona, just one of the many worlds under their jurisdiction, but not before Eio cursed Quar Dimens with her own powers, limiting the Angels' influences on the mortal realm to only the world on which Eio was located. In this way, Eio had saved several worlds from future turmoil caused by the Angels of Quar.
Eio had been banished with no memories of Quar Dimens, her lineage, or her special abilities. It wasn't until she had befriended most of the Sages who fought in the Quarian Conflict that she began to realize that she was so very different. Ayane intervened several times as well, trying to awaken Eio's powers and memories. Even going so far as to request help from Marion Knight, a subservient of the supercomputer DESTINY, Ayane was able to manipulate the events of several thousand years on Mona and on Earth so that the Angels would eventually fall to Eio's return.
Ayane's plan eventually took hold as Eio and Hiroshi entered Quar Dimens alongside Ayane herself. The three of them, while supported by the other Sages, were the only three who could harm the Angels in any physical fashion while inside Quar. A horrible battle ensued, ending only when Hiroshi utilized her special blood to create a new technique that literally ripped Quar Dimens open and drained the Angels into a limbo between dimensions. As the rift closed, the Angels were torn apart and scattered throughout the multiverse so that their fragments would never again come together.
To this day, Morro has not been heard from, and the only surviving beings who have Quarian blood are Eio and Ayane. Hiroshi is a special case, but is still not considered "Quarian" by nature.
One can only hope that the Angels' fragments never find each other.
